Your status-quo won.

The truth is that your Lean, Agile, Product, Design Thinking or Digital Transformation never happened. The status-quo survived by using new terminology for the old ways that no longer worked.

They convinced you to go back to the Industrial Age,
since “Agile” and the Creative Economy threatens their reason to exist.

And now you are doing a 180. That will be the biggest mistake in your lifetime.

There is comfort in the good old days and ways, even if you know they did not work.

The story is simple: You tried Agile in a sandbox under perfect conditions, cross-functional teams, value stream optimization, concept to cash, T-shaped full stack people, etc. You saw (at least with one team) that Lean, Agile, Design Thinking, and the empowerment nd de-entralizing decisions from in today’s Creative Economy are fundamentally different from the the industrial age era long by-gone. how companies thrive in the Creative Economy.

Super wizards appeared who convinced you that the Spotify model or SAFe or some other BS, will make it all scale.

And your status-quo had only one objective. To stop their jobs to be challang by murdering Agile any way they could, often changing terminology and nothing else so that the “This does not work, let’s go back 60 years” seemed like a reasonable path. It is not.
